We were at game, now watching it on DVR. Second quarter...Rebecca and Kara struggling to find good things to say about ut. They were not prepared to see us blow out their beloved hornettes.

Out of the 8 big 12 games, Chou has scored in double figures in 4 of them. We know she can shoot the ball, but there's something else that seems to be going wrong. She only took 1 shot tonight in 19 minutes of play. I'm thinking it could be a mental block.. something is stopping her from playing with the confidence she did against Iowa State. Maybe benching her could be the wake up call but that doesn't mean she's not a talented player. She's made up a lot with her hustle on the defensive end (though she wasn't quite quick enough today) and her great passing. She still has a lot of room to grow but I'm not giving up on her just yet.
Nobody is giving up on Chou. It's just very concerning for her to score nothing 3 games in a row especially when you consider that in those 3 games Baylor has literally dominated and everyone else comes up with good performances.

We just pummeled the #6 team in the nation by 25 -- and it wasn't EVEN that close -- and some of you are writing off one of our starters? A sophomore who starts alongside two seniors and two of the best post players in America?

You people are crazy.

I dont think people are writing her off, it's just that Didi and Morris are better. Our best lineup is Morris-Wallace-Didi-Cox-Brown.

Chou is a good player, but these freshman are on a new level.

I think Morris has earned her spot over Chou, but I think Chou is just in a slump and will pull out of it soon!!

I think Natalie is better than she has played all season. I don't think we have seen her best yet.

I want to see Chou playing and shooting -- because we need a quality 3 point shooter. But Morris needs to start at the point because she makes Kristy way better when Kristy can play the two-guard. Morris brings the athleticism to the PG spot that we need, especially with Kim's overall offensive/defensive philosophy.

Karen pressing on defense with the game decided.....as she has done in the past...

My first thot was that she was practicing for a defense that could stop us....

The I remember when she pressed us late when they were up by 10 or more points one time at the end of the game... do you remember that ?

Maybe she was just trying to keep the loss under 30 points...

any way we should be ready for a full court press in Austin next month..

Cohen didn't take many shots either, unless we count the ones she took off of a rebound. When you are playing Brown and Cox to score inside, and when Kristy is on fire and getting her share of shots, there are not too many to go around for other players. Morris and Richards got a few shots, but that may well have been due in part to the fact that either Kalani or Lauren were out of the game or being double teamed.

Natalie is still a very effective three point shooter, other teams know it, and her presence opens up the passing lane for Kalani. Natalie is normally one of our best passers into the post, something that she does very well..

UT - unexpectedly - just doesn't have a good inside game, which we all thought would catapult them ahead of us... I wanted them to be good. Great. Even beat us a time or two. Battle and rivalry. No. 1 & N. 2. Meet them in the national final.

I want to see WCBB swing from Storrs to the I-35 Corridor.

I do want to see Holmes recover. It doesn't seem like Boothe will make it at the college level. Maybe back to community college a couple of years, then to a Southland school.

Next year, the freshmen Collier and Prince will have their hands full with Kalani and Cox while Smith, DeCosta & The Queen mature...

So we won't give up anything.

My fear, we could become guard short with the transfers of Landrum & Moon.

Last night's game foreshadowed next year a bit with Cox playing the post more to sub for Brown. I'm sure that Egbo will get time next year but with more depth at the 4, Cox will bounce between the 5 and 4 while the younger pups get some experience. The 4 is Cox's natural position but when as a 5 you can step out 15-18 feet and shoot it, that causes a world of hurt for other teams.

I'm loving this year's team. Tons of grit and seems to have great team chemistry. Crossing fingers/knocking on wood for injuries, which is the only way to slow down this team the way they have improved over the last month. Here's hoping that we see lots of Ursin and Juicy (especially the latter) as the conference season winds down.

It was well worth the drive from Austin to see the game in person. I had a nosebleed seat, so after the end of the first quarter I moved down to 10 or 12 rows behind the Baylor bench, where there were several empty seats. Ending up talking some with Chelsea Whitaker and her mom. As some of you know, Chelsea is a Dallas police officer and is going to law school. I assume they were at the game because of the tribute to Chameka.
