Never cared about the NIT, so who cares. I have seen a relative's team up close that should have made the dance, didn't because they couldn't win key games, one and out on the conference tournament, and fell apart with a ugly home-court first-round NIT loss. I don't wish that on any fan.

Exactly.

The NIT is like getting an invite to play in the one if the 25 or so weird college football bowls. An extra week of practice for the players.

This team isn't good enough to win 4 in a row for a place in the Big Dance. Winning the B12 tournament is highly unlikely.

Ain't happening. At this point I'd give the odds between making the NIT and no postseason beyond the conference tourney at about 50-50.
