Yes, IKm basically blamed Moon for the 13-0 run. Id call that throwing her under the bus. Then she said she loves Moon.

No she did not. She said that some of the players at the end of the game let the moment get too big for them. Just get in the game and play. Then she said she was talking about Moon. She said rely on the veteran players around you. Said she had a deer in the headlights look about her. Just relax. Reading some posts on this thread, you'd think she said Moon sucked and didn't belong here. Geez.

Moon is ultra athletically gifted and has the skills to develop into a good player at this level. But she still has to be directed, sometimes, where to go on offense, and several times in the last game and at least once in this one, she didn't rotate over to pick up the player that a help defender had released in order to help pick up a driving player to the bucket. That takes anticipation. Just reacting makes the sliding over too slow. Moon seems to be still reacting. Give her a break. There's no shame in a freshman having to have experience to learn and grow into a more proficient player. But equally, there's no guilt in a coach saying love ya, but if you want playing time, you're gonna have to get XYZ down, no matter how well you do ABC. It stresses the importance of XYZ, and challenges the player to grow into an even better competitor. It's coaching....

(And no, you don't have to give a player experience in every game to have the expectation that they will improve a certain aspect of their game play. Practice provides that, as well...)

Man Texas must have really sucked that week TCU beat them. This TCU team we trounced really isn't that good.

I certainly understand why one would say TCU wasn't very good, but I don't think that is exactly true. They are not at our level, but they are not awful. They are short, so we are a bad matchup for them. They rely on a lot of perimeter screening to free up their outside shooters and they have some good shooters, Angel Ramirez, for one. Those teams have given us trouble in the past. Unfortunately for them, one of their top outside shooters was injured and didn't play. The biggest challenge to their success from the perimeter against us, however, was our perimeter players have gotten very, very proficient at fighting over screens and minimizing the room opposing teams have to get their shots off. Also, with shorter interior players, outside defenders don't have to sink down as much to help on posts. That helps make it easier to defend on perimeter. When TCU decided to try and drive and penetrate the lane, our bigs made that difficult.

We have some weaknesses, but we are very, very good, especially on defense. We have the ability, when we are energized and focused, to make a lot of teams look bad. Couple that with just a bad matchup, and TCU looked over matched. Let's see when tournament time rolls around.

(If that coaching staff stays committed to TCU, give them a few more years recruiting, and they may slide into OU's traditional spot in conference.)

I heard TCU won 7 straight B12 games earlier.
