Former Baylor Bear baseball player Nate Orf had just been called up to the big leagues earlier in the week, and a little over one and a half games into his MLB career, he finally got his first hit.
And it was a big one for the first-place Milwaukee Brewers.
Orf was called up to the big leagues on Monday by the Brewers, the first time Orf has reached the level since signing as a free agent when he left Baylor in 2013. The first money Orf received from the MLB was only $500.00 when he originally signed.
Orf hit .339 in his two-year Baylor career and started 120 games.
