These guys aren't making any sense regarding the scholarship availability after the recent attrition of 3 players. A week ago or two the discussion was that there were only 2-4 scholarship slots available left for the 2019 class. Now, AFTER 3 scholarship players leave they think there might only be 1 scholarship available? How does that make sense? I can understand the staff offering a couple of the current scholarships to current walkons, but how does that diminish the original number that was available before the 3 left? Please clarify.

Baylor sits at 82 scholarship players that we are aware of as things stand today. The assumption is that JUCO transfer Jake Copeland will get a scholarship for the fall to take Baylor back to 83.

Based on our conversations, Baylor is either right below or right at the scholarship limit, which means a player like Christian Beard or Trevor White will be on scholarship for the fall. Remember that White was on scholarship as a junior in 2017. Beard transferred to Baylor from UCF where he was on scholarship.

Now, things can obviously change, but that's where things are right now. The information that Baylor is closer to 85 than 83 is based off of what we have been told.

Okay, but how does that effect 2019 recruiting numbers?
