Outside of offensive wrinkles, staff and players comfortable with scheme

It wasn't highlighted as the defense was in 2017, but Baylor's offense went through considerable change itself under the direction co-offensive coordinators Jeff Nixon and Glenn Thomas. 

There were large changes for every position of the offensive, but a few assignments were noticeably more complex. Along with a complete scheme overhaul on the offensive line, Baylor's receivers were asked to learn a traditional route tree while the quarterbacks would need to learn to read multiple levels of a defense in play.
