The bears did well, but still not very polished. Issues: pass protection, rushing the football. Poor tackling, defensive players out of position, allowing big plays. Duke is a very good football team. Baylor will lose if the mistakes aren't corrected. Charlie Brewer's ability to make something happen, with his ability to scramble, came up with big plays .The receivers made some great plays, but also had some inexcusable drops. To beat Duke, it will take a near perfect effort. Connor Martin is a real unheralded star on this team. He nailed multiple field goals, without a miss. John Lovett had a few good carries and ran hard. UTSA was getting way to much penetration, on rushing downs. That needs to be fixed. Positives: Even after the fumble McClendon, and UTSA scoring, right before the half, the Bears came out in second half and scored a touchdown. I think we can have a good season, if we continue to get better.

Yeah, but that's the reality of our situation.

We got the W, set things back to being right in the world. Onward to Duke.

It could be worse....we could be UT who didnt go through all of the crap we have over the past couple of years and still almost get beat by Tulsa.

What a shallow perspective on things at Baylor. It was called a systemic problem, so there are hundreds of victims just waiting for Baylor to drop the hammer on those who were complicit to cause them harm. They dropped the hammer on athletics, but over 85% of sexual assaults were not from athletes, so where is justice applied for these other victims. Things are still not right at Baylor.

Really dude. We were talking about a football game.

How wide would you like to set our aperture in this postgame wrap up thread for UTSA vs Baylor? Should we start discussing the larger culture of sexual assault in college in general? Maybe the general dynamic that exists between men and women in vulnerable situations? How broad should we take this?

Or do you want to talk about the football game?

Thought you were talking about the world.

If you wanted it to be about football, you should have said so.

His writing was pretty clear. I'd suggest you work on your reading comprehension skills and context clues.

What he wants people to know about Baylor football: I want people to see that Baylor is the class of college football. Record GPAs, 26 different majors, guys challenging themselves to be the best they can be. Guys working in the community and guys working to be the best they can be in football. Want people to know Baylor is a great place as a University. -Coach Matt Rhule
