Baylor suffers its first loss of the season to the Duke Blue Devils at McLane Stadium
Duke travels to McLane Stadium as they face the undefeated Baylor Bears on Saturday at 2:30.
1st Quarter
Baylor on the opening kick took it to the Baylor 47 yard line thanks to Josh Fleeks. It was his first touch as a Bear. Charlie Brewer converted on a 3rd and long with a 12-yard scamper. Connor Martin came on and missed a 44-yard field goal. Baylor forced a three-and-out but on the ensuing possession John Lovett caught a 12-yard pass for a first down but fumbled the ball. Duke took advantage with a 31-yard touchdown run on 3rd and 7. Not a good start for the Bears.
Highlights
Josh Fleeks took the opening kick-off to the Baylor 47-yardline, it was decently blocked but Fleeks made a few players miss and got up field.

2nd Quarter
Good start to the quarter by the Bears as they drove down to the Duke 30 on a 21-yard pass to Jalen Hurd but Connor Martin had his field goal blocked. Duke got possession and rove down the field for another touchdown this one was a 28-yard pass to TJ Rahming. On the next drive Baylor got a costly holding penalty after converting on 3rd-down. They ended up punting and Duke drove down the field and added a field goal. On the next drive Quentin Harris throws a 66-yard touchdown pass. First Trestan Ebner drops a deep pass, then Pooh Stricklin wide open and a perfect pass by Charlie Brewer dropped. The drive stalls. Baylor forced a turnover on downs and then threw one pass before the quarter ended. Worst quarter of the year for Baylor.

3rd Quarter
Baylor starts out with a stop. Deep ball from Charlie Brewer to Tyquan Thornton for 39-yards then a 13-yard run by JaMycal Hasty and then a quarterback sneak by Charlie Brewer led to a Baylor touchdown. Christian Morgan blocked a punt after a few stops by both teams, JaMycal Hasty returned it for a touchdown. Duke drove it right back down the field and TJ Rahming capped it off with a 7-yard touchdown pass on Baylor’s Chris Miller. McClendon comes in and goes 3-and-out.
Highlights
Charlie Brewer threw a deep ball for 39-yards to the freshman Tyquan Thornton, then scored two plays later on a Charlie Brewer quarterback sneak.
Christian Morgan blocked a punt after a few stops by both teams, JaMycal Hasty returned it for a touchdown.

4th Quarter
Baylor got a stop and then drove it 87-yards down the field. Tyquan Thornton capped it off with a 25-yard touchdown from Jalan McClendon. 3rd down and a chance to get the ball back, Duke ran a jet sweep and got a 26-yard gain. Then they capped off the drive with a 31-yard field goal to extend the lead. On the next drive Jalan McClendon threw a pick-six on an out route to Jalen Hurd and Duke grew the lead. Charlie Brewer came in and led a quick touchdown drive for the Bears that included a 28-yard completion to Marques Jones and a 28-yard completion to Tyquan Thornton, then finished it off with a 2-yard touchdown run.
Highlights
Jalan McClendon dropped back and threw a jump ball to Tyquan Thornton in the end zone and he came down with it for the Baylor touchdown.
Charlie led a late drive down the field with 73-yards passing and finished it of with a quarterback sneak touchdown run.
