BREAKING: Baylor lands 2019 kicker Noah Rauschenberg

Baylor has picked up a commitment from a 2019 kicker Noah Rauschenberg‍ (Tulsa, OK/Union) over Houston and Arkansas. He becomes the 23rd Baylor commit and is one of only four unsigned commits right now for the Bears as the second National Signing Day approaches.

2019 BAYLOR COMMITMENT LIST

With the injury to Connor Martin in the bowl game it became extremely important for the Bears to go find a reliable weapon in the kicking game. Rauschenberg forced 50 touchbacks last year, had a field goal long of 54, and was 10/16 on field goals.

Seriously strong leg. His first step seems to be really slow on FGs, so that would need to be improved if he doesn't want the Christian Morgans of the world to block his kicks. He could be used as a kickoff specialist immediately.

I hope he can improve on 10 for 16. Hopefully those 6 misses had some reasonable explanations and were beyond 40 yards.

He comes from a great school - always competes for the state title - has for years. Hope he can have 4 great years at BU!

Yes but in Oklahoma...

There are only a few schools that are even any good at all

As for 10/16....they gave him the ship for his leg strength...that 54 yarder is quite impressive

They can coach him to be accurate

The video above indicates that 2 of those misses were from over 50 yards and that one of misses was blocked. It also indicates that he has a long of 54 yards, so he's certainly not bad.

In his photo he looks like Ivar the Boneless from Vikings. Ivar did NOT have a strong leg!
