The Baylor Bears basketball team has seen many great players come through the program over the past decade. With those great players came impeccable performances that certainly give Baylor fans reasons to remembers them.

Here are my top five individual Baylor basketball performances since the 2011 season. Keep in mind that this is based strictly on their utter dominance in the games and the stats they were able to put up.

Honorable Mentions:
Rico Gathers vs. Northwestern State (31 PTS, 21 REB)

Taurean Prince vs. New Mexico State (34 PTS, 6 REB, 2 AST, 3 STL, 1 BLK)

Brady Heslip vs. Colorado in NCAA Tournament (27 points; NCAA-record nine 3FG)

5. Makai Mason vs. TCU (Feb. 2, 2019)

The most recent performance on this list checks in at number five. Makai Mason lit up the TCU Horned Frogs for 9 three-pointers, 40 points and 4 assists as he led the team to a 26 point victory with his sensational shooting. Anytime a player can eclipse 40 points in just 20 shot attempts,  it’s safe to say they had a dominant performance.

4. Jo Acuil vs. Savannah State (Dec. 17, 2017)

This was definitely the best game that Jo had statistically as a Baylor Bear. He was everywhere on the court on both sides of the ball. He finished with 31 points, 20 rebounds and 3 blocks. He was super aggressive around the rim, netting him 16 free throw attempts and managed to knock down 11 of them. Jo’s defensive and offensive prowess in the paint was no match for Savannah State as Jo and the Baylor Bears steamrolled them.

3.  LaceDarius Dunn vs. Morgan State (Jan. 4, 2011)

LaceDarius Dunn’s 43 point game will always be a game that Baylor fans remember during this era. He hit a school record 10 three pointers on 18 attempts while adding 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. He made most of his money during this game from the three-point line, but he also had some masterful finishes around the rim that the defense could do nothing to stop. Dunn and Mason are the only Baylor Bears during this decade to score 40 points or more.

2. Pierre Jackson vs. Kansas (Mar. 9, 2013)

In Baylor’s final game of the regular season, the team needed a win to solidify themselves as a threat in the tournament with a win against the No. 4-ranked Kansas Jayhawks. Pierre Jackson stepped up to the test and electrified the crowd with his 28 points, 10 assists, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. He seemed to have everything going for him in Baylor’s 81-58 blowout. He only shot 10 shots but made 9 of them including 2 of his 3 three-point attempts. Not only that, but he was also incredible finding his teammates as it was clear that everything was flowing through him throughout the game.

1. Jonathan Motley vs. Texas (Jan. 17, 2017)

Jonathan Motley’s performance against Texas was absolutely dominant in all facets of the game. With the Bears ranked 6th in the country, they needed this home win to continue elevate themselves in the polls. Motley poured in 32 points on 12-of-17 shooting from the field as the Longhorns could not find a way to stop him in the paint. He was so hard to guard that the Longhorns were forced to foul him, which gave Motley the opportunity to make 8 of his 11 free throws. He also grabbed 20 rebounds for the Bears with 7 of them coming off of the offensive glass. Motley was a defensive animal as well with 3 blocks and a steal.

The game in Austin where Acy dunked like 20 times and ESPN had a counter on Sportsman Center.
