Champs Again: Lady Bears handle ISU in Big 12 Championship, 67-49

OKLAHOMA CITY — Baylor (31-1) capped of their perfect run through the Big 12 in 2019 with a 67-49 victory over Iowa State (25-8) on Monday evening in the Big 12 Tournament Championship game. The championship is the 10th in program history. 

The Lady Bears were led by Kalani Brown’s 17 points and 7 rebounds. Brown was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.

Chloe Jackson and Lauren Cox also reached double figures in the contest with 16 and 14 points. Jackson dished out 5 assists and collected 5 rebounds while Cox tallied 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocks and 1 steal. 

With their eyes set on a return trip to the Final Four for the first time since 2012, Baylor is projected as the No. 1-overall seed in the 2019 NCAA Tournament.

Doesn't it feel good to be a Lady Bears fan tonight!!
Terrific game ! I guess we know who the dominate team in the Big12 is, and who the true player of the year is.

From the 9 minute mark to the 5 minute mart in the 4th the Defense was fantastic. Money time.

There was some interaction between CKM and the ISU coach--at the last championship game he tried his best KA blow by.

That game was still close through three. I think Moon lit up this team for a fourth quarter run with her defense and rebounding. What a fun game to watch!!! I just love Coach Kim and this entire team!!!
