OKLAHOMA CITY — Baylor (31-1) capped of their perfect run through the Big 12 in 2019 with a 67-49 victory over Iowa State (25-8) on Monday evening in the Big 12 Tournament Championship game. The championship is the 10th in program history.
The Lady Bears were led by Kalani Brown’s 17 points and 7 rebounds. Brown was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.
Chloe Jackson and Lauren Cox also reached double figures in the contest with 16 and 14 points. Jackson dished out 5 assists and collected 5 rebounds while Cox tallied 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocks and 1 steal.
With their eyes set on a return trip to the Final Four for the first time since 2012, Baylor is projected as the No. 1-overall seed in the 2019 NCAA Tournament.
