Baylor Women's Tennis Drops Neutral Match to No. 12 NC State, 4-0
INDIAN WELLS, Calif. — North Carolina State swept the Baylor women’s tennis team 4-0 Friday night at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. The No. 12-ranked Wolfpack took the doubles point before winning singles matches at the No. 1, No. 5 and No. 6 courts for the win.
NCST improved to 15-3 on the season while dropping the Bears to 5-13 on the year. The Wolfpack doubles duo of Anna Rogers and Alana Smith – ranked No. 12 in the ITA doubles rankings – beat Baylor’s Jessica Hinojosa and Paula Barañano 6-1 at No. 1 doubles, and Claudia Wiktorin and Adriana Reami beat BU’s Stephani Adames and Katelyn Parker, 6-0 to take the doubles point.
No. 28 Rogers of NCST took down Baylor’s Livia Kraus 6-3, 7-5 at No. 1 singles. The Wolfpack’s No. 5 and No. 6 singles court took points with the remaining singles matches going unfinished.
It was the fifth-straight win for NCST.
