In general, the goal of college football strength and conditioning programs is to cut bad weight and put their players in best physical shape possible. That’s good and all, unless you’re Phil Snow and are looking for defensive players who can play in different levels of the defense.

It’s one of least talked about catch-22 situations for college football coaches.
