Game Thread: Bears head to Norman with hopes of getting back on track

The Baylor Bears (6-2) will face the No. 11-ranked Oklahoma Sooners (7-2) on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. CT. The Big 12 game will be aired live on ABC/ESPN2.

  • Baylor faces its 1st ranked opponent of 2016 when it travels to Norman, Okla., for an 11 a.m. showdown with No. 9 Oklahoma on ABC/ESPN2.
  • Baylor and Oklahoma will meet for the 26th time on Saturday. OU leads the all-time series 22-3 and holds an 11-1 advantage in games played in Norman. BU has won 3 of the last 5 games in the series.
  • Baylor stayed ranked at No. 25 in both AP Top 25 and Amway Coaches Poll.
  • BU’s been ranked in a school-record 60 straight AP Polls, FBS’ 4th-best streak.
  • The Bears debuted at No. 17 in CFP Top 25. BU is 1 of 6 teams to be ranked in all 14 CFP rankings.
  • Baylor is 13-4 in true road games over last 3+ years, after going 7-17 in the previous 5 years.
  • BU has won 19 of its last 25 played outside of Waco, including 10 of its last 13 Big 12 away contests.
  • Baylor will be looking to win 3 games in a row in the state of Oklahoma for the 1st-time since beating OSU in 1939 and 1942 and then winning at Tulsa in 1947. BU is 13-27 all-time in the state.

1. All of Mayfield's incompletions were throws he really didn't mean to make incomplete.
2. How amazing of a talent Mixon is.
3. That Oklahoma has already won the Big 12.

Bears weren't going to win this after that last FG drive of 7 minutes. I like what I see from Zach. Encouraging for the remaining games. Looks pretty accurate and if they trust him with a lot of RPO's he could make life tough for Snyder's guys

Manalive137 made a post and then edited to delete apparently, about the camera crew showing KB's signals on the sidelines.

It's damned true. The first series the camera stayed on him for several seconds in a closer up showing his lips moving and the entire signal. Someone must have alerted the staff because KB had an assistant coach stand in front of him every time they showed him after, obstructing the camera's view of his signal.

Lincoln Riley though was always just kinda chilling on his close ups, having already called the play off camera.

Tin foil hats or whatever, but nothing should shock any of us this season anymore.

Didn't want to be the conspiracy theorist bc I honestly don't care. Just thought it was unusual how many times I saw KB's play calls sitting on my couch at home.
