BREAKING: Baylor adds 2020 DL pledge Mitchell Tyler

Baylor has received a commitment from 2020 McKinney (TX) High School defensive lineman Mitchell Tyler‍. After measuring slightly over 6-foot-4 and 236 pounds at Baylor’s first summer camp on Sunday, Tyler picked up an offer from the Baylor coaching staff on Tuesday and waited less than 24 hours to make his pledge.

Tyler, the son of two Baylor graduates, committed to Matt Rhule’s staff over offers from Kansas, Connecticut, North Texas and others and has received significant interest from Michigan State, Kansas State and TCU. 

At The Opening in January, Tyler posted a 92.16 SPARQ score, the sixth best score among defensive lineman at the event in Dallas.
