Baylor's Shea Langeliers selected 9th-overall by the Atlanta Braves in the MLB Draft

In the first round of the MLB draft on Monday, Baylor catcher Shea Langliers heard his name called with the 9^th pick in the MLB Draft by the Atlanta Braves.

Langeliers (6-0, 190) finished off his three-year Baylor career with 31 home runs and 124 RBIs at the plate and a .995 fielding percentage at the catcher position.

The Baylor catcher capped of a marvelous career with one of the greatest performances in NCAA Tournament history. He went 5-for-6 with three home runs and 11 RBI’s in a 24-6 victory over Omaha in the Los Angeles Regional.
