On the Big 12 teleconference call Monday morning, Baylor head coach Matt RHule updated the status of junior starting quarterback Charlie Brewer and sophomore starting offensive lineman Connor Galvin.

According to Rhule, Brewer has been cleared to play after a scare against Kansas State in the second half Saturday. Brewer was hit by a defensive lineman as he a released pass in the contest and did not return after being evaluated medically. According to Rhule, Brewer was cleared to return to the game if needed.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Gerry Bohanon entered to finish the game and led the Bears on two scoring drives.

Galvin, who was feared as being lost for the season after exiting the game in the first quarter, will miss the next 4-6 weeks with an injury that has not been released at this time. After his injury Galvin played multipled series before leaving the game under his own power.

Redshirt freshman Casey Phillips entered in the game at left tackle for Galvin.

Baylor returns to action on Saturday for a Homecoming matchup with Texas Tech at McLane Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. CT on FS1.

Glad to see Charlie will be back. Sorry about Galvin. He will be missed.

Thanks for the updates.

Didn't hear anything about Jordan Williams. Assuming he's good to go this week?
