Matt Rhule Quote of the Week...

“But this is why you come to Baylor, to play in these kinds of games and play in front of these crowds. We went there two years ago and they’re smacking the paddles and the sideline is this big (holding hands not far apart). That’s what college football is all about. I wake up this week and not many people probably think we’ll win. What a great opportunity for our guys to go out there and go play. There’s no pressure on them. The only pressure is in our room. We have a standard we want to play at, we want to play at a certain level. So, go out there and play. People think we won’t be able to handle the noise and we won’t be able to handle the crowd and they’ve had two weeks off. To me, I look at it like this: They’re a great team with great players. And we’re coming in there and we didn’t play as well as we wanted to on Saturday. We’ve got to go get ourselves a little bit better. It will come down to blocking and tackling and covering and catching and all those things.

Baylor’s Key Players

Quarterback #12 Charlie Brewer — Brewer was flat out awful in the first half of the game against Texas Tech and ended with three interceptions so he will be looking to respond in a big way.

Linebacker #26 Terrel Bernard — Baylor’s second leading tackler is the most obvious choice for this game on the Baylor side. Clay Johnston is now out for the season and this is the first game that Baylor will play without him.

Defensive Lineman #93 James Lynch — Welcome to the record books James Lynch. He is now just half a sack behind Shawn Oakman for the career sacks record and he is just 2.5 sacks behind Oakman’s record for sacks in a season which is 11.

Safety #22 JT Woods — Woods will get a start most likely against Tech this weekend due to Chris Miller’s targeting suspension. Look for Woods to have an opportunity early for an interception in this one.

Oklahoma State Key Players

Quarterback #3 Spencer Sanders — The redshirt freshman quarterback is coming off of his worst performance of his young career against Texas Tech where he had five turnovers all by himself. He single-handedly cost the Cowboys a win in Lubbock.

Running Back #30 Chuba Hubbard — The nations leader in rushing yards by a whopping 270 yards was an easy choice as an impact player.

Wide Receiver #2 Tylan Wallce — The best wide receiver in the Big 12 and one of the best in the entire nation has picked right back up where he left off last year.

Linebacker #11 Amen Ogbongbemiga — The star linebacker is going to be the moist important player on the Cowboys defense for a variety of reasons. First he has 3.5 of the teams eight sacks on the season.

Cornerback #4 AJ Green — The Cowboys pass defense gives up 250 yards per game and 7.35 yards per pass along with a whopping 13.15 yards per completion. Green will be the toughest guy to pass against but the rest of the secondary is vulnerable.
