WACO, Texas – Baylor men’s golf signed a pair of high school seniors to National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, head coach Mike McGraw announced.

Baylor inked Trey Bosco of Austin, Texas and Luke Morgan of Guthrie, Okla. The duo will join the program in the fall of 2020.

“I am excited about these two players,” McGraw said. “I have watched Trey closely for several years at tournaments throughout the state, and he has always impressed me with his competitive drive and discipline. Luke is the first player I have signed from Oklahoma, my long-time home, so that is special to me. He is also a very gifted athlete, which I think is a great benefit.”

Bosco attends Lake Travis High School in Austin, where he earned 2018 and 2019 Rolex All-America honorable mention recognition. He’s currently ranked No. 17 in the 2020 signing class and No. 50 overall in the Golfweek Junior Boys Rankings, and he’s No. 32 in the AJGA Rolex Rankings.

Bosco won the 2019 6A Texas High School Regional Tournament. He also participated for the West Team in the 2019 Wyndham Cup and finished top-7 in both the 2018 & 2019 Wyndham Invitational. He took fifth place in both the 2017 Southern Junior Championship and in the 2019 Polo Junior Classic, 14th place in the 2019 AJGA Simplify Boys Championship, seventh place in the 2018 Bobby Chapman Invitational and 17th place in the 2018 Ping Invitational. Bosco also placed sixth at the 2018 Texas 6A High School State Championship.

Morgan attends Guthrie (Okla.) High School, where he helped lead his team to the 5A State Championship title in both 2018 and 2019 and a state runner-up finish in 2017. He has a 70.23 stroke average across his high school career, and he posted the lowest scoring average in school history in both 2018 and 2019.

Morgan recorded four individual tournament wins in 2019, breaking the school single-season record. He has recorded top-3 individual finishes at the 5A State Championship in all three seasons, taking second place in 2017, third place in 2018 and winning the individual state title as a junior in 2019. He won a US Junior Amateur qualifier and finished third in the Oklahoma State Amateur this past summer. Morgan also plays on Guthrie’s basketball team, and he ran cross country in 2017-18.

Bosco and Morgan will join a Baylor program that loses a pair of potential All-Americans to graduation following the 2019-20 season. Cooper Dossey and Colin Kober are the Bears’ lone seniors on the 2019-20 squad, and the team resumes play on Jan. 27 at the Arizona Intercollegiate. BU has five spring tournaments before the Big 12 Championship, which runs April 27-29 at Southern Hills in Tulsa, Okla. The Bears finished the fall season at No. 12 nationally in the latest Golfstat rankings.
