MBB: Dain Dainja Makes It Official
Dain Dainja is an ultra skilled big man with the size, wingspan, quickness and strength to be a major impact player. He was the first 2020 commit for Baylor and anchors a class rated #8 by 247Sports. He is joined in this outstanding 2020 class by explosive guard LJ Cryer and a skilled big man in Zach Loveday. When Dainja committed, I interviewed him on why he chose Baylor here.
Here are a few comments on how it feels to make it official.
How does it feel to make it official?
Dainja: It feels amazing making things official with Baylor! I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time and I just want to thank my mom and dad for guiding me to get to this point! I just can’t wait to get on campus and put on for Baylor.
Are you watching Baylor games?
Dainja: For sure, I will be watching EVERY Baylor game this year.
What are your goals this year on and off the court?
Dainja: My goals for this season are to just become a better leader and bring the energy to my team and be able to take my team to the state championship and win it! Also, I want to give the young guys all the knowledge that I know about the game so they can be successful as they continue their high school careers. Off the court, I want to set a good example for others because I know a lot of people look up to me so I NEED to smile more and try to make a good impact on other people.
