Gatewood Report: Musings on Basketball and Baylor Athletics

January 21, 2020

3 games in 6 days and 3 wins.  That was an underrated stretch for the Bears in terms of difficulty because they were coming off two emotional road wins from the week before which led to the #2 ranking in the country only to be followed by the #1 ranking in the country.  The Bears seemed had trouble finishing against Oklahoma.  The Bears were up 8 with 1:30 left after a Freddie Gillespie bucket (59-51) and then the wheels seemed to come off a bit.  OU had two open 3 pointers to cut the lead to 2 and then a pretty good look for a potential game winner before Devonte Bandoo grabbed the rebound and converted two free throws.
