Lady Bears guard Didi Richards named WBCA Defensive Player of the Year

WACO, Texas – Baylor junior guard DiDi Richards picked up the nation's highest defensive honor Monday, when she was announced the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's National Defensive Player of the Year.
 
Richards, a junior from Cypress, Texas, adds to her trophy case after earning Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and unanimous All-Big 12 Defensive Team honors for the second-straight season.

Had we played Oregon it would been the OPOY vs the DPOY. And our DiDi you have shut Sabrina down again just like last year. Even the simulator knows it.

That's exactly what the simulation inferred. What a show it would have been !!!!
I paid money expecting to see it.
As fans we were denied an iconic for the ages OPOY vs DPOY matchup by the virus - In those famous words "We was robbed"

One thing that would have been interesting and potentially tough on our posts is that Oregon coach said he would have played Satou's sister Nyally (sp?l) if they reached the round of 8. She is supposed to be better than her sister Satou. That would have given them another tall and very talented post to throw at our ladies. Pretty sure she was MVP of the World championships before she got hurt.

She will play paired with Sedona next year with their litany of young talent so they will be very tough when we play them next year.
