BREAKING: Denton Guyer defensive end Cooper Lanz commits to Baylor

Baylor lands commitment No. 10 in the 2021 class as Denton Guyer defensive end Cooper Lanz‍ decided to join the Bears. He joins Sam Carrell‍ as the second defensive line commit in the class.

The 6’4, 240 pound defensive lineman finished his junior season with 80 tackles, 24 for loss, 8 sacks, and two forced fumbles. He helped lead Denton Guyer to the Texas 6A D-II State Championship game.

Lanz earned a Baylor offer just eight days ago but felt like it was the right time to make a decision.

He chose the Bears over offers from Houston, Charlotte, Army, North Texas, UL-Monroe, among others.
