BREAKING: '22 4-star WR Randy Masters commits to Baylor over LSU, Oregon, TCU

Dave Aranda and Baylor picked up their second pledge of the 2022 class as Pearland (TX) Shadow Creek High School four-star wide receiver Randy Masters‍ (6-1, 175) gave his verbal commitment to the Bears on Tuesday evening in an announcement on Twitter.

“I want to commit now because I feel like it’s the right time and down the line I don’t wanna have to worry about that,” he said. “

2022 BAYLOR FOOTBALL RECRUITING CLASS

The 6’1, 172-pound prospect caught 20 receptions for 356 yards and five touchdowns as a sophomore while he helped lead his team to a 16-0 record and the Texas 5A D-I state championship with his quarterback is Baylor commit Kyron Drones‍.

Masters has an elite early offer list that includes LSU, TCU, Oregon, Auburn, Tennessee, Florida and others. He was offered by Baylor on May 15.

“The entire Baylor coaching staff made me feel comfortable,” he said. “I fit there and see the reasons why my future will be great there.”

Masters joins Feston, Missouri defender Kaian Roberts-Day‍ in Baylor’s 2022 recruiting class.

This kid could be the best high school receiver from whom we've ever gotten a commitment. Much better than Robbie Rhodes, much better hands than KD Cannon and slightly better overall (in high school) than Coleman.

Nice hyperbole. Cannon was an animal in high school.
