Baylor, West Virginia set for showdown on ABC Saturday, Oct. 3
On Monday morning the Big 12 announced that Baylor’s Oct. 3 game with West Virginia in Morgantown will kickoff at 11 a.m. CT. The contest will be aired live on ABC.
Baylor defeated West Virginia in 2019 at McLane Stadium in a tightly contested matchup. The Bears escaped with a 17-14 victory on a Thursday evening when Baylor turned the ball over three times and couldn’t put the Mountaineers away.
Baylor quarterback Charlie Brewer completed 20-of-27 passes for 277 yards and two touchdowns and receiver Denzel Mims caught five passes for 99 yards and a score.
In Baylor’s last trip to Morgantown in 2018 the Bears were dismantled in former head coach Dana Holgorsen’s final season, 58-14. Baylor has never won in Morgantown including four losses dating back to 2012.
Baylor is 3-5 against the Mountaineers dating back to 2012 with all three wins coming in Waco.
