On a day that’s typically for high school and junior college prospects to sign their National Letters of Intent, Baylor landed a commitment from Dartmouth College grad transfer wide receiver Drew Estrada (6-0, 190).
The Ivy League star chose Baylor over offers from Utah, SMU, Florida State and TCU.
An All-Ivy League performer with the Big Green during his monster junior season in 2019, Estrada caught 51 passes for 827 yards and eight touchdowns through the air and added 222 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Estrada also returned 15 kicks for 255 yards and a touchdown.
Estrada was named an All-Ivy League Second Team Wide Receiver and an All-Ivy League Second Team Return Specialist in 2019.
Over three season for Darmouth, Estrada hauled in 110 receptions for 1,418 yards and 10 touchdowns while adding 71 carries for 468 yards and two scores on the ground.
Estrada played his high school career at Texas powerhouse Argyle High School where he piled up 2,165 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns while also adding 530 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground in his career. A dual-sport athlete, Estrada was also named the District MVP in soccer after scoring 22 goals and recording 15 assists in just 17 games.
The transfer prospect fills a need for the Bears at the wide receiver position and will come in to provide an immediate spark for the offense in 2021. While at Dartmouth he played primarily in the slot but also lined up outside and in the backfield. He also returned kicks for the Big Green.
