Five Baylor (6-0) players scored in double figures led by LJ Cryer's 15 points as the Bears defeated the Golden Lions of Arkansas Pine Bluff (1-8) 99-42. The Bears are off for Christmas and play back to back games on 12/30 and 12/31 before reigniting Big12 play.
Positives
- The Bears did what great teams do, destroyed their opponent out of the gate in taking a 55-12 halftime lead and cruising to a 57 point victory.
- 25 assists to only 5 turnovers is terrific. The Bears forced 23 turnovers on the other end.
- Shooting percentages were all good 52% from the field; 48% from 3 and 82% from the foul line.
- Played with energy and passion all game. Only a handful of bad possessions on both ends of the court.
- 13 assists between Butler and Mitchell. Those guys along with Vital set the tone for unselfishness on the team.
Needs Work
- Hard to find flaws in this performance but the Bears did give up 12 offensive rebounds.
- Allowed a double double from Shaun Doss (25 points and 10 rebounds).
Merry Christmas to the Baylor basketball team, look forward to following this team’s journey towards a Big12 and national championship.
