Aranda's coaching roots could be beneficial in Baylor's search for an OC

Baylor’s defense under first year head coach Dave Aranda showed promise in multiple areas consistently throughout the 2020 football season. The offense did not and on Tuesday it led to Aranda making the first significant changes of his tenure in Waco. 

Rumors of a potential major offensive shakeup on Baylor’s staff sparked and began to make rounds at 9:52 a.m. CT on Tuesday morning.

Hm, were these the roots he tapped for the first round of hires? Let's hope he missed some roots the first time, it can be tricky, knowing where all the roots are.

I think he was hired so late he had a very limited field to choose from. That is why I'm hoping he had successors already confirmed unless this was a last second termination that caught Aranda in the middle.

Season isn't completely over yet. Bowl games still being played.

True but several mentioned aren't in a bowl such as Harrell (long shot anyway) , the SMU OC, Ludwig at Utah, Morris at Auburn is fired, he owes them nothing regarding their bowl if they didn't opt out of the bowl.

It could still be anyone of these but Aranda didn't strategize to have any of them committed and announcement ready if any of them are the target.

No one knows who he has in mind, who he has called, or even made a potential deal with. It is not instant and things have to be worked out.
