AUSTIN, Texas—There was a time not too long ago when Texas owned a 24-game winning streak against the Baylor Bears. When Scott Drew took his team to the Erwin Center, the goal was simple.

“We were playing walk-ons against McDonald’s All-Americans,” Drew said. “We just wanted to keep it close.”

My, oh my, how the narrative has changed.

The second-ranked Bears on Tuesday put an 83-69 seal-clubbing on Texas’ best squad in years.
