Good article on their Freshman Guard - Melton. Was Honorable Mention Pac 12 All Defensive team as a Freshman. Manu or whoever he guards will have their hands full.

Their leading scorer missed half the season and did not play in 4 of their losses. Assuming they win at least 1 or 2 of those they are likely a 7-9 seed depending on the wins. They are definitely not an 11 seed but regardless we should win this game.

What makes me nervous is Manu still isn't 100% which causes problems for us on both ends and we'll definitely need him today. I doubt they make the same mistake on Maston that NMSU did so maybe we'll see more high low action when he's in the game since they won't be able to double down on Motley and leave Maston open. As always, we'll need one of our guards to step up and score again like Freeman did, maybe not 20pts but at least 2 of them will need to hit 10+ to take the pressure off of our bigs again and give us a chance.

Hopefully this game is up tempo again and I hope we're ready for the officials. They are calling things tight across the board so whoever gets into foul trouble first could have problems.

not directed towards rifle in any way, but this is just another example of why traditional media is dying. They can't find anything interesting or positive to write about so they just re-hash the same old garbage.

Though I hate the re-hash of old news, the article also contains some very mature quotes from Al, Mot, and King. They are representing the school in the way we expect all our athletes will.

Of course the Houston Chronicle ran this story in its sports page this morning.
I'm afraid if we make the Sweet Sixteen we'll see a lot of similar pieces, just a reason for the media to rehash the scandal, not report on BU basketball.

The Chron has been the most gentle of all the news outlets.

The players were asked this yesterday. They weren't quite sure but when pushed for an answer Lindsey said Iowa St. because they can spread the floor and have several 3pt shooters. I don't like to hear that knowing they also have a couple solid big guys. They definitely aren't as good as ISU on offense but if they will be tough.

Well, they were 1-6 against the Top 50 -- so UT

If you look at it as a team with a limited rotation, below par defense, but a decent team with three real scoring threats --- TCU

If you say they have two legit big men and they run zone and man D -- they are a lot like us, without the results.

I don't see the ISU comparison unless they have 4 guys that can spread you out and hit threes or dribble drive, and the scouting reports and game previews that I have read don't bear that out.

Didn't he already use his lock on Friday? I guess if you get enough chances at the combination you eventually get it right.

I haven't been this nervous about a Baylor basketball game in awhile. Really want this victory for the team, Drew, and Baylor University. With everything the school has been through this past year, this seems like a chance for some positivity.

Wish I could be in Tulsa for this one.

I'm shirking my responsibility and not going to pick up my stepson...we better not look like crap the first half. Not sure I can deal with that on top of dealing with a somewhat pissed off wife and disappointed kid (he gets all cranky when I don't come with her for some reason).
