Brace from Tyler Isgrig Leads Bears Past Cougs on Friday in Waco

No. 20 Baylor Soccer defeated the Iowa State Cyclones by a score of 3-0 to make it three straight 3-0 wins in Big 12 play. Junior forward Callie Conrad netted a brace, with sophomore winger Alysiah Lockette scoring the final nail in the ISU coffin.

Junior Aryanna Jimison unlocked the game for the Bears in the 35th minute with a curling strike to score the opener. The Jayhawks were unable to score an equalizer before Callie Conrad and Theresa McCullough netted insurance goals for the Bears in the second half.

Baylor Soccer lost its first game of the season to the visiting Texas Tech Red Raiders by a score of 1-0, thanks to a 72nd-minute penalty.

The Bears continue the best start of the Michelle Lenard era with a 4-1 thumping of Texas State. Tyler Isgrig narrowly missed out on a hat trick and Aryanna Jimison was a menace in the attack.

A crisp give-and-go between Alysiah Lockette and Aryanna Jimison lifted the Bears to their third-straight win and fourth-straight shutout.

Hallie Augustyn scored the opener for the Bears just eight minutes into the game, heading home a Tyler Isgrig corner with ease. The insurance came just before halftime as Alysiah Lockette cleaned up the scraps of a corner that started very similarly to the first goal in the 43rd minute.

Baylor Soccer opened its 2025 season with a 1-1 draw against former Big 12 rival Texas A&M. A 4th-minute goal for the hosts, courtesy of a defensive miscue, became the obstacle that the Bears took 77 minutes to overcome in the form of a Lauren Omholt equalizer.

After overcoming a 1-0 second-half deficit, the Bears conceded with 13 seconds left in the game to draw a pesky Bobcats side.

Head Coach Michelle Lenard was very disappointed in her team's play, but the Bears were anything but overrun in this matchup. Expectations remain high for the Bears of Betty Lou.

A third minute goal by State’s Ilana Izquierdo proved to be the difference between the teams.

Looking at roster turnover, minutes lost and goal contributions returning, these Bears have a good chance to surpass expectations.

The Bears were four minutes away from earning their fourth win in a row — a streak of potentially as many games as the team won all of last season — but the team will have to settle for only a fifth game unbeaten in a row.

Baylor Soccer used a late goal from defender Hallie Augustyn to earn its third straight win and get back to .500 in Big 12 play with a 2-1 victory over the UCF Knights.

Sophomore Hannah Augustyn, playing outside back today, scored the opener and winner for the green and goal in the seventh minute. Fellow defenders Hallie Augustyn, Ava Colberg and Blythe Obar all made last-ditch saves of KSU shots to preserve the Baylor lead as well.
