The Pokes, desperate to infuse some energy into a program on the brink, entered the matchup against Baylor as three-touchdown underdogs, but pulled out all the stops to try to accomplish an improbable upset.

“I definitely feel a different energy,” senior right guard Omar Aigbedion said. “I felt a little more intensity and a little bit more focus at practice and hunger. We’re on the right path right now.”

Instead of a traditional spring game, the Baylor football program wrapped up its spring camp with an open practice last Saturday that featured a competitive showcase of drills.

“Every team is its own team. We can’t hold our heads high on last year’s achievements when we still have a season to play this year,” head coach Dave Aranda told his team following practice last Thursday.
