Don Henley has often said that song ( Desperado) really didn't become a hit until Linda Ronstadt put it on her 1973 album, her 4th, "Don't Cry Now."..In the 70's , Henley, Frey, Jackson Browne, J.D. Souther, and many others used to hang out at the Troubadour in West Hollywood..Ms. Ronstadt was in that circle of artists and friends.Many times they played each others songs and joined in at live events...That was a remarkable time in Pop Music history.Keyser Soze said:
