Inspired by Keyser Sose's post about "Bands that have not aged well" - got me thinking about bands/albums that are better (or you like more) than you recall when they were new. I'm experimenting with Tidal HiFi. About 1 month into a 3 month free trial now and reconnecting with music I haven't listened to much in decades and hearing much of it remastered and or MQA on my recently restored mostly vintage stereo system. Here are a few albums that sound absolutely incredible and much better than I recall (in no particular order):
The Doors, LA Woman
Doobie Bros, Toulouse St. and The Captain and Me
Santana, Santana and Abraxas
Loggins & Messina, Sittin' In
Steely Dan, just about everything
Poco, Seven
Elton John, Madman Across the Water
