If clean at 50 I think you get a 10 year pass until the next one.

Saved about $7500 doing it myself. Other then the infection, it turned out ok.

Note to anyone who wants to do a home vasectomy or home colonoscopy, the sterile environment is important. I also recommend gloves. I found on the colonoscopy, the lubricated ones that say "ribbed for her pleasure" work the best.

Didn't do it my self but it was just as bad...

My fourth year of medical school, the GI department was offering $150 for volunteers to have an EGD performed. I didn't have a driver and I wanted the cash, instant payout, to play golf that afternoon. Thus, I decided to waive all sedation other than a topical anesthetic sprayed in the back of my throat. Definitely one of the worst decisions of my life. Please learn from my folly.
