I still do. It's some great whiskey. The Baby Blue is generally always in my cabinet.bularry said:
does anyone even drink it anymore? didn't the guy who made it famous leave a few years ago to start his own distillery?
I believe Chip is still getting his new facility up and running(handcrafting his stills). Hasn't produced anything yet to my knowledge(at least for public)... His new brand is Tate & Co Distillery and his new facility is off Steinbeck Bend by the airport.GoBearsGo said:
What is Chip's brand?

The tasting room is great, went there last week and picked up a bottle of their staff selection which at 64% abv is hefty, but really really good. That whole ordeal was so interesting to watch, Chip definitely should have vetted out whether he would get along with his investors or not....lesson learned.
I am very excited about the Brandy he is doing up in China Springs, using all Texas grapes. Fun stuff for Waco.
I bought some Baby Blue Saturday night. Have not tried it yet. What's your preference? On the rocks? Neat?Funky Town Bear said:I still do. It's some great whiskey. The Baby Blue is generally always in my cabinet.bularry said:

You are correct in that Chip Tate moved on and has started another distillery. Doesn't negate that he left a great product behind to be enjoyed.
