I still do. It's some great whiskey. The Baby Blue is generally always in my cabinet.

You are correct in that Chip Tate moved on and has started another distillery. Doesn't negate that he left a great product behind to be enjoyed.

What is Chip's brand?

Yes, I always have it and it still a very solid product, and still winning world wide awards. I'm very anxious to try to their blue corn burbon but that's a tough bottle to pull for now. I think chip's brand is literally chip tate's spirits or something simple with his name.

Has anyone tried a bottle of the Fr.Oak? If so, thoughts? I can't seem to find it in Dallas.

I believe Chip is still getting his new facility up and running(handcrafting his stills). Hasn't produced anything yet to my knowledge(at least for public)... His new brand is Tate & Co Distillery and his new facility is off Steinbeck Bend by the airport.

Went to the tasting room Saturday after the game. Great crowd there, highly recommend going by. Well executed.

The tasting room is great, went there last week and picked up a bottle of their staff selection which at 64% abv is hefty, but really really good. That whole ordeal was so interesting to watch, Chip definitely should have vetted out whether he would get along with his investors or not....lesson learned.

I am very excited about the Brandy he is doing up in China Springs, using all Texas grapes. Fun stuff for Waco.

Agreed. Can't wait for him to get his distillery running.

I bought some Baby Blue Saturday night. Have not tried it yet. What's your preference? On the rocks? Neat?

I like it neat. But that's also how I drink most of my whiskey and whisky. An ice cube won't hurt the flavor at all.
