There's not a group of fans I loathe more than UT fans. But that makes sense since there's not a place on earth I loathe more than UT.

UT is an odd school. It's difficult to make generalizations about it, because it's basically an amalgam of every political faction and entitlement group known to mankind. All under one happy banner. Yeah.

There are certainly parts of UT that impress me.(Law school, graduate engineering), but I've seen the inside of the other parts and It's basically a mediocre state school.

How I feel about Texas sports performance is no big deal, my problem is my taxes pay for that and the school sucks.

Why did I read that. Makes our morons look like geniuses.

I love that Texas fans think their problem is they just haven't hired the right coach yet. They'll continuing thinking that as one high-profile coach after another fails to lift their baby-**** soft program out of its self-entitled malaise.

The answer is obvious to everyone else. But all of the people with the power to do something about it -- fans, boosters and administration -- are just as entitled as the soft-ass players they bring in to represent them.

So every time they hit adversity, losing to programs with a fraction of their resources and five times the ingenuity, their team folds like a cheap tent and their fans wonder what went wrong. Lather, rinse, repeat.

It's really a blast to watch, if I'm being honest.

Yeah, the basis they have for any sense of elitism, I'll never get. And yet, they like to announce things like it's just a step down from some Ivy league university.

I would have thought the boom since 1990 that UT would thrive as a university, but my gut feeling is that it's falling apart on the inside.

There was a time a decade and a half ago when the University of Texas and its athletic program was special among its peers and when its seemingly bottomless resources provided a massive advantage over schools and programs like ours.

Those days have long since past. The problem for Texas is they have yet to acknowledge and accept that they're no longer special and that beating schools like ours isn't a birthright. With TV and conference money, everyone has the resources to compete now, and everyone is investing that money into their programs and facilities. The gap between Texas and everyone else has been narrowed, if not erased, and the Horns have no idea how to compete on a near-level playing field.

In pop culture terms, they're like a really unlikeable *****t family. They've lost the status that allowed them to live an insulated, out-of-touch life and now have no idea how to function in the real world.

The poster Horns4Horns on that site has done an excellent job calling out the people making rape comments.

Gotta applaud that fellow.

One of them did credit Baylor's success to the mentality of the team while describing their own players as "snowflakes." (see post #433)

"Baylor's Athletic program is better than ours. Let that sink in."

I read somewhere this morning that Baylor has the best football team in Texas. That's kind of obvious but it's nice to see it reported. It's very interesting to see Texas fans jealous of Baylor & specifically jealous of our coach, just like in 2019.

Aranda harps on selflessness as the key. Ha you will never find that at texas.

For the most part all fans are fine individually. It's only once you get them in groups that they become insufferable asshats. This is especially true of Aggies.

That entire board is a bi-polar mess. It claims to be "surly," but there are no bigger group of snowflakes in college football. They have that kindergarten rep system, and if you disagree with the Group Think they will ban you or cry to the moderators. Surly is softer than the Texas football program.

A few of those posters are obvious Baylor fans. One is very good the other two or three can't carry their weight.

On January 4, 2006, Vince Young runs for the corner and scores to propel Texas to a 41-38 national-championship win against USC.

Another coach (Carroll) who gambled and went for 4th and two but lost the game. I had already turned the game off convinced SC had won.
