The Cowboys are interested in Dolphins All Pro LB, Jordyn Brooks & Texans Pro-Bowl LB, Azeez Al-Shaair

-H/T @NickHarrisFWST for the report
Some quick thoughts on both, starting with the All Pro

Troy Aikman just dropped some insane context on Emmitt Smith:

For as many years as Derrick Henry has been a bell-cow back in this league, he’s just barely eclipsed the 50% mark on Emmitt’s total career carries.

.@dallascowboys TEs coach Lunda Wells spent quite a bit of one-on-one time with @BUFootball TE Michael Trigg at BU pro day. Trigg had 50 catches for 694 and 6 TDs this past season.

It was a small part of a lengthy end-of-the-year news conference for the Cowboys, but it was notable. Cowboys co-owner Stephen Jones, when talking about the upcoming NFL draft, said the team would focus mostly on scouting prospects from the Power Four conferences: the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Big Ten, the Big 12 and the Southeastern Conference.
In the transfer portal and NIL era, many players who might've been diamonds in the smaller-school-rough have already been discovered.
In 2022, for example, nearly 20% of the players invited to the NFL Scouting Combine came from non-Power Four conferences. Last year, fewer than 10% of combine invites were from those same schools. This year, that number dropped down to 5%. Eleven of the 133 players at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., were from non-power conferences.
"There's no question that certainly the top talent is aggregating due to NIL and the transfer portal," Jones said from the NFL Combine.

Not sure why that was really notable. Will McClay has made no secret over the years they place a high value on Power 4 prospects, just for the fact they play on a bigger stage and would adapt better than smaller school prospect to being in Dallas.
That said, NIL certainly makes the talent situation even more extreme.

I think his point was that the schools outside the P4 are losing their best talent to the P4 with the NIL.

I had to trade down after getting wiped out at 12, but even with that I would be very happy with this haul.
And yes, thats Cowboys TE coach Lunda Wells working out Baylor TE Michael Trigg. Wells was side by side with Trigg for almost the entirety of Baylor’s Pro Day. https://t.co/COq4V0NfmG

To be clear, lower on draft order, e.g. if they were picks 1 and 32, we would get 32.

It’s one of at least eight pre-draft visits for Cooper, who kept the Hoosiers’ perfect season alive with one of the greatest catches in football history:
