Really tacky and anti-NY but I gotta admit, I still had just a bit of a smirk... posted on BtB

Still really disappointed we had 5 FGs. Didnt this happen to us a couple of years ago and it cost us at the end?

When we were drafting wide outs instead of defense, yes
Winning by cheating is just as impressive as winning fairly, probably even more so. Your opponent was better than you in every way, and you beat them with your brain.

Love ya Goldy, but I ain't letting you skate on this one. You threw a fit when we drafted Cee Dee Lamb instead of Damon Arnette or K'lavon Chaisson in 2020. Let's look at the tape:

Damon Arnette (Out of the league now)

K'Lavon Chaisson

Cee Dee Lamb

Lamb is on his way to a second All-Pro season. The only other guy you wanted that's still in the league is a backup linebacker who gets one tackle per game and one sack a year.

Lamb is a Ferrari while Chaisson is a Pontiac Aztec.

Game 2 review:

Micah Parsons is starting to become one of those players you watch just to see what he's going to do next. I don't want to put him in the vaunted Lawrence Taylor category but I'll just say this, he's the first player that I've seen that reminds me of Lawrence Taylor. Even the little things he does like when he misses a sack, he's so fast that he's still breathing down the qb's neck. Also his ability to stop the run has improved. He's the best defensive player in the NFL and should also be in the running for league MVP. He's that freaking good. Be thankful he's with the Cowboys.

I wasn't sure if Odigizhuwa could keep up his high level of play but he has so far. What an embarrassment of riches they have at their disposal.

D-Law quietly had a really good game stuffing the run, and swiping Zach Wilson's arm at the end of the first half to prevent a potential touchdown. What a pro he is.

Jonathan Hankins did the dirty work and did a great job.

I didn't notice much of the other d-lineman other than a pressure here or there.

The secondary might be the best in the NFL even without Donovan Wilson. Wow they're good...

... Except for Stephon Gilmore this game. He had a rough day with 2 pass interference penalties and a td given up.

If you had paid close attention, it wasn't so much Lamb or any name specifically.

We were getting smoked on defense and we continued to get smoked for about another two years and it didn't have to be that way. We all sat and watched cheating ass Tom Brady throw to nameless receivers for years, and it never mattered because they could stop anybody.

I think solid defense has been the overarching message in the NFL for years now.

It looks like we finally got that going this year though, praise be to God.

The thing about Taylor is that he was HUGE for the day. Micah is not as intimidatingly big given todays sizes but actually fast twitchish quicker.

PFF grades week 2

Micah Parsons - 94.4

D-Law - 94.4

Malik Hooker - 91.8

Chauncey Gholston - 85.4

Parsons had his highest grade ever and also his highest rated run grade ever at 90.0

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe I heard the announcers say at the end of the game the 49'ers have won 15 straight regular season games, an NFL record.

Yeah. I apparently heard wrong. They are on a 13 regular season game winning streak and nowhere near NFL record. Opps.

The Indianapolis Colts hold the record for the longest regular season winning streak in NFL history. They won 9 straight games to finish the 2008 season and started the 2009 season with 14 straight wins, compiling a total of 23 consecutive regular season wins.

If the Cowboys score 30 against the Cardinals, while holding Arizona to 10 or less, they will be the first team in NFL history to score 30 or more points while allowing 10 or less in their first three games.

it doesnt look like a banner year for our Bears, on the other hand, this is a potential championship year for the Cowboys.
