His job isn't to get tackles. It's to take up double teams, which he did on virtually every down he played last night.

I'm not worried how many yards he gets in a game. I'm worried about how many yards he gets when we need him to get 2-3 yards, and he's consistently done that this year....just like Zeke...and for wayyyyyyyyy less money. Dowdle is a better running back right now than Zeke by a wide margin.

Current Zeke or 2016-2019 Zeke? Sure, year 1-4 Zeke was great, but Dowdle is better than current Zeke. I think that's Trey's point.

Mazi has 10 total tackles for the year. 7 Solo and 3 asts, no sacks and pretty much 0s of everything else

Meanwhile the fella that he was supposed to replace, Jonathan Hankins has 26 tackles, 13 solo and 13 asts and 3 sacks.

As for his job is to take on double teams, that is assuming that the other team actually double teams him. We don't control that. On the plays that he is blocked man on man, Mazi should be pushing the pocket, pushing the OL into the path of the RB, and clogging lanes. He should be able to get sacks when he is single teamed, or at least pushing the OL back into the QB which Hankins does regularly. Mazi has to be the strongest guy on the DL.

He only played 11 snaps last week against Seattle. Couldnt find how many snaps last night.

Remember, he is our first round choice. We have different expectations of someone taken that high. No more Taco's!

I want him to be good, but the stats need to show some reflection of that.

Not sure I would say that he is even 'as good' as current Zeke. Zeke's lines for this year? 29, 13, 80, 16, 21, 34, 31 36, 17, 54, 46, 52, 68 for 497 yds total for compared to Rico's 307 yds.
