The Baylor Bears (6-3) are back home after back-to-back road victories to face No. 19 Kansas State (6-3) in a Saturday evening matchup in Waco. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. CT and will be aired live on FS1.

Sophomore Quarterback Blake Shapen

"I think everything falls behind our offensive line. They're a bunch of veteran guys, they've kind of been through it. They're mature and understand what it takes to get the job done," Shapen said glowingly. "I think us being able to follow their lead … is a huge key in that happening."

Analysis of the Week

This is a knock-down, drag-out game. Kansas State is going to make Baylor earn it. Something you have to feel great about is that Baylor faced the best defense in the conference earlier this year on the road and were able to put up 34 points with relative ease.

Just as Baylor’s offense is improving week to week, I think KSU’s defense is equally improving. These are two of the better overall units in the entire conference going head to head. It’s a magnificent matchup from a pure quality standpoint.

Ultimately, my expectations are that Baylor gets into that 27-34 point range but that it’s a real slog. I do not expect many spurts of massive offense in this game. It’s more likely that Baylor averages a TD per quarter; that’s my read, anyway.
