I'm not worried about them flipping Austin. But this might add some additional motivation for next week.

If Ohio State couldn't flip him I doubt very seriously that TCWho will be a concern.

Hard to imagine a player that turned down Notre Dame and could start for A&M on day one would opt for TCU. Wide open offense at Baylor where he has been committed for a long time would be ideal, I would think but who knows?

Well, to play Devil's Advocate for a moment concerning Ohio State, They had already gotten a commitment from, not only the #1 QB but the #1 Overall player from the 2024 Class, back in June. They had also signed the #6 ranked QB out of the 2022 Class. You could see that as a major deterrent for any other QB wanting to go there.

Aren't his parents from A&M and haven't they allegedly gone all in on Baylor because of him with a tail gate spot etc allegedly?

Being ranked the #1 QB in his recruiting class worked out so well for Quinn Ewers too. I guess the money was good if you can get it

A lot of Aggies I have talked to seem to think Riley will be A&M's OC by summer time.

If we lost Grimes, I would like to see him here. The more I think about it though, I don't know why Grimes would go to CU as HC unless the $$ was too big to say no to. I mean you never know, Briles didn't take too long turning our program around, but CU seems like it is a multi year project.

I don't think he will decommit but TCU has a wide open offense as well

Does Colorado have the same kind of commitment from fans & administration? If it's not there, it would be almost impossible for any coaching staff to turn around. Plus they would need to be patient.

Agreed, but found the NIL comment in the article noteworthy.

The results of last night's games certainly didn't help.

I don't know I think I endorse Grimes for it now and think we shouldn't allow Riley to head back to Ft Worth next weekend.
