Looks like Stidham being named the starter is what is causing Jon Franklin III of Last Chance U fame to once again transfer. He's now been on a roster for Florida State, East Mississippi CC, Auburn, and UAB. Starting to look like the resume of an NFL practice player. 4 teams in 3 years.

Since I am living down here in the middle of SEC country, I have to put up with much nonsense about there being no other conference worthy to even play a SEC team. So I loved last year in playoff season. Also, point out that Missouri and A and M left our conference so they could win some football games. So when Stidham left Baylor to go to Auburn I heard talk of him being no better than the 3rd string qb. I assured them that Baylor has had the superior qb except for one year for at least 8 years and that Stidham would be number one and it would not even be close. He is a good one and so sorry to see him go, but we move on and wish him well against Alabama and rest of SEC.

By the time Briles was here he had been an assistant at a P5 for 3 years and a G5 HC for 5 years. But the better comparison to Auburn's new OC would be Chad Morris who went straight from HS to OC at Clemson--where he did work out well as OC at least.
