I hear what you are saying, but if we are playing our peers who are putting in roughly the same amount of resources, money would not seem to be a reason why we should expect better. We can't all go 10-2 or better. Somebody has got to lose, even when they are putting in as much or more than us. I guess what I am saying is that the fact that we are paying out more than we did back then, it is still relative to what everyone else is paying as well.PartyBear said:The Hound said:

True we were getting results like this year paying the HC 100k a year and the coordinators about 80k a year and on down. This was about 26 or so years ago. I think for the money we put in due and the big business college athletics has become, we should expect more than we did in those days.
I think not keeping up with the Joneses is a sure way to sink, but just putting in resources doesn't mean success either. I guess it is how you apply those resources. I don't know.
