Former U.S. Army All-American and Clemson offensive lineman Jake Fruhmorgen will transfer to Baylor for the fall semester to complete his college football career, SicEm365 has learned. Originally part of Clemson's 2015 class, Fruhmorgen will redshirt in 2017 before being able to compete on the field for the Bears in 2018 and 2019.

SicEm365 originally reported the possibility of Fruhmorgen landing at Baylor on August 8. Try a SicEm365 Premium trial today!

Fruhmorgen has been fully accepted into the University and is set to arrive in Waco on Thursday.

According to the national average, Fruhmorgen, originally of Tampa (FL) Plant High School, was considered the No. 120-ranked prospect in the country and No. 20-ranked prospect in Florida. He held offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State among many others.

After playing his first two seasons at Clemson, Fruhmorgen opted to leave the ACC program in January and then transferred to the University of Florida following the spring of his sophomore season. However, days after arriving at Florida, Fruhmorgen would leave the program. SicEm365 has learned that he did not feel comfortable at the SEC program. He did not go through a workout or attend a class.

Now heading to Baylor, Fruhmorgen will provide instant quality depth for the Bears in 2018. As a sophomore, the 6-foot-6, 310-pounder started eight games at right tackle in 2016, one season after starting a single game as a true freshman.

According to Clemson's official athletic site, Fruhmorgen posted 13 knockdown blocks in 523 snaps over eight starts for the Tigers. He earned first career start at Auburn and responded by grading 83 percent while playing all 81 snaps. He also graded 91 percent and had two knockdowns on 66 plays in a win over No. 3 Louisville.

Joining Tennessee wide receiver transfer Jalen Hurd and Texas A&M defensive end transfer James Lockhart, both former four-star recruits, Fruhmorgen is Matt Rhule's third major-impact transfer to add since arriving in Waco.

For some1 who just won a natty he doesnt look very thrilled. Maybe it was just bad camera angle, or captured between smiles. Or perhaps he really needed some food.
Now that you mention it, the Bama player standing behind him doesn't look very sad about having just lost a natty, either
thats the key to success never get too up or get too down , even keeled jah feel

Why leave Clemson? Doesn't make sense. Maybe he stole a sandwich??
Not every kid that leaves is a problem child.

Believe it or not, Troy Aikman once transferred out of OU after being on a national title team and Barry Switzer amicably helped him do it.

Sometimes people need a change of scenery.
----------

aikman left because the fan base blamed him for a loss to Kansas and Switzer wouldn't start him over Hollieway. Aikman was told they would throw the ball and that clearly wasn't the case.

if Switzer helped him it was because Aikman called his bluff and said he'd give public with the 'promises' that were made.

Aikman was originally recruited by UCLA and he initiated the transfer.

Saying Switzer helped him is like saying Aikman helped Switzer leave the Cowboys.

Well there was a reason Aikman broke his ankle before the end of the season and was replaced by Jamelle Holieway who was a perfect fit for the OU offense.

Aikman a more Pro-Style QB was a better fit at UCLA and Holieway was a better fit for the OU offense.

There was a reason.

Bear Rammage probably thought Aikman was too slow to be successful too.
What is that supposed to mean, Aikman wasn't too slow for anything, Holieway was simply one of the best option QBs of all time and Barry loved him some option. When Holieway marched them to the national championship the die was set.

Nothing more. Aikman caught a break really because the OU offense didn't display Aikmans incredible talents as well as UCLA's more pro style offense did.

You are calling out the wrong person if you think I don't understand the incredible football talent of Troy Aikman.

By the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved.

Being a Robinson High fan (since two of my sons played there) from Tampa, and Plant (where this kid attended) was our rival, it's tough to immediately accept him.

However, despite the silver spoon reputation at Plant High School, they always had great football teams. I wouldn't be a bit surprized of this kid can bring the wood.
