AF has really dominated this half. They got to feel defeated to only be up 2.

Absolutely nothing about our offense looks elegant or easy. Unrecognizable from the prior decade.

Don't know who's that on but we need some major foundation repairs.

Shapen can look decent sometimes and like steaming crap the rest of the time.

A core of Hal (height), Cameron (possession), Jackson (combo) and Baldwin (speed) would be a pretty good group with a really good QB.

Again, Shapen is decent in 2 minute drill. Art pretty much ran a 2 minute offense all the time so maybe that's the type of offense Shapen would thrive in. Presley and Cameron are coming around so maybe this RVO thing gets scrapped and plug Shapen into an up tempo offense.

That midfield stand by the D was so huge. AF had 3rd and 1 and then 4th and 1 at midfield and couldn't convert. Didn't see that coming. Felt like they were on their way to bleeding the clock and getting a FGA or TD.

That stand was huge.

Leach ran the 2 minute offense all game…. We need that… not run to left run to the right

along with the rest of the team, which is why we have a 6-6 team. Just not a lot of consistency across the board, so you end finishing middle of the pack.

Get rid of Grimes and Bell and pull some guys in that can run that.

TCU game says "hello". Shapen was horrible under 2 minutes in that game.

Regardless, I dread being Iowa or Wisconsin.

Phil Montgomery was available, although didn't see much up tempo at Tulsa. There's plenty of film in the vault at BU, someone figure it out. Shawn Bell, I'm looking at you.

We have such "expert" fans.....I can't believe they don't recognize the impact the weather is having on the game.

Shapen was just outstanding on that last drive. Yet no positive comment here.

I'll say this much. AF's offense is built on discipline, methodical plays that eventually breaks an undisciplined D down, and that starts making mental mistakes, then AF scores. If we hadn't scored there, I wonder if the D in those awful conditions would have slipped in the 2nd half and AF would have scored a few easily.

That score put us back in the game and restored the D's confidence that if they get the O the ball, that something good might happen. In awful conditions like this, that's pretty powerful.

True but there have been games where we went somewhat up tempo and Shapen picked defense apart. Sorry, like everyone else on this board just searching for something that'll work, heaven knows Grimes has his head stuck in that playbook he totes around all game long and can't see beyond it.

That 3rd & 11 screen pass was with the wind.
