This will be the best aspect of a 12-team playoff. We won't have to have these idiotic discussions about who belongs in certain games and who doesn't. Win and you keep playing. Lose and your season ends. That's how sports playoffs are supposed to work.

Big 12 never going to get more than 1 team in the expanded 12 team college playoff at this rate
Wrong. We would have gotten two teams each of the past two years.

We'll get two teams most years.

You really think B12 is getting benefit of doubt after that mess? KState did so much better vs Bama as B12 Champ. B12 looking good.

You think B12 has credibility to get an at-large? Yeah. Rankings gonna be much harder to move up with 12 team playoff based on rankings. Gonna be tough sledding, gonna have to schedule tougher OOC and beat OOC to get ranking love.

TCU looked like a middling B12 team that got extremely lucky in 4 or 5 games this year.

Which is exactly what they are
the top of the sec is just that much better right now.

Right now? For the past decade and it is going to get worse. B12 is now the laughing stock of CFB, read and listen to what is being said. People on Premium Board got their wish, TCU destroyed and taking Conference with them. Combined with KState talking like B12 is G5. But it don't matter gonna be ignored by re ruits media and realignment, right? Squandered every bit of credibility the Conference had after last year.

Calm down drama queen, we all know you wanted to ride that purple bandwagon, but the frogs weren't ready.

. We weren't given much respect before this game. This game didn't help, obviously, but don't think it hurt the big 12. Most think it is SEC, Big 10 and then the rest. OUUT leaving hurt the conference more.

You don't see why this is a major problem for the Big 12? Our league's best teams this year didn't even belong on the same field as the class of the SEC. What does that say about the rest of this conference, which got *****ed by those two teams all year.

The Big 12 just proved on the biggest stage possible that it's a JV league. In a three-week span, Kansas State, TCU and all the other teams that rolled over in their bowl games wrecked every bit of goodwill this league built over the past 13 months.

We are exactly what everyone said we were.

Right now the only enjoyable thing to watch in the Big 12 is the ongoing divorce with OUT.

UT has to be squirming trying to drag OU's deficit dollars program into the SEC to avoid having to possibly be embarrassed by UH, UCF, BYU or Cincinnati next year.

Meanwhile the Big 12 2023 football schedule is held hostage while Horns, Sooners and SEC dangle in the wind wondering what is going to happen.

Meanwhile ESPN is hoping the new contract with Big 12 isn't a bust.

How in the world did a conference go from one with Nebraska, aggy, Mizzou, Colorado, OU and UT to one with G5 members?

One answer. Nebraska and UT and their arrogance,

You are not wrong. 22 pretty much a **** cocktail.

BUT, it is now 2023 season. Load em up, let's play...

What happens to unopened TCU championship gear? (msn.com)

Quote:

Before the kickoff, though, there were undoubtedly loads of shirts, hats and apparel for each team winning the championship...ready to go somewhere in the stadium.
Back in North Texas, several Academy Sports + Outdoors stores even said they would open immediately following a hypothetical TCU win.

So what happens to all that TCU 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship apparel?
While we don't know yet about gear from the actual game in California, Academy said Tuesday morning the stores that received gear will package everything on a truck and send it back to the vendor. In this case, that vendor is Nike.

It is up to Nike from there to figure out what to do with it, according to Academy.

We reached out to Dick's Sporting Goods about that company's process but haven't heard back yet.
In 2022, the Super Bowl also took place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. With the Los Angeles Rams beating the Cincinnati Bengals, all that unusable Bengals Super Bowl gear went to a nonprofit called Good360, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Since 2015, the Virginia-based organization has reportedly handled losing team's apparel in the NFL for the Super Bowl, NFC Championship and AFC Championship.
Once Good360 has enough gear to fill a shipping container, the Los Angeles Times said the company sends it overseas in collaboration with nonprofits that distribute it to people who could use free clothes.

I remember reading a story years ago about a player for the Eagles when they lost the Super Bowl to New England back in 2005 or so. During the offseason he went on a mission trip or goodwill trip to Uganda, Congo, or someplace similar. When he stepped off the plane, he was greeted by a group of children wearing "Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Champs" shirts.

True this one is just so much bigger. But I can understand why he would say that. We physically overwhelmed Houston and Gonzaga. It jumped off the screen within the first 10 minutes in both games. They were both shell shocked. The Houston game would have been like this had we not cruised in the second half.

In all honesty.....I was hoping they would lose something like 49-24. Still a blowout...but some window dressing at the end of the game to make the final score look respectable.

After awhile, I felt myself feeling sorry for TCU. What an embarrassment.

If they can make the National Title game...so can we.

Baylor rarely loses when we get a chance to win a championship.
