North Texas transfer tight end Jake Roberts commits to Baylor
North Texas transfer tight end Jake Roberts gave his pledge on to Baylor on Monday evening following his official visit over the weekend. Roberts has two seasons of eligibility remaining after redshirting and playing two seasons at UNT.
The highly-coveted transfer prospect earned offers from Arkansas, Colorado, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Cal, Oklahoma, SMU, Nebraska, Indiana, Oregon State, Rutgers, Nevada, Louisiana Tech, Texas State and South Florida during his recruitment.
As a redshirt sophomore this year, the 6-foot-5, 250-pound prospect totaled 394 yards and three touchdowns on 28 catches for the Mean Green. Roberts has caught 43 passes for 541 yards and three scores in his career.
Roberts will join a talented tight end room but one that features just a single upperclassmen.
