I really do not understand the hold up actually. Perhaps there is a back channel talking to the MWC about a merger with the thinking that the Pac remnant and MWC combined would be on par with the new XII and the travel costs wouldnt be as high? I have no idea. Please note I have not heard that anywhere. I am just pondering out loud what the hold up could be for one or two to jump to the XII. Of course if that was happening, San Diego would not have made its move last week to give notice it might leave.

BTW Swaim, who just could also be a loon, has just announced in the last hour that the share of each school is 19.5 before Comcast Holiday Bowl reimbursement.

I feel that IF anything, which I'm wondering now BUT if ANYTHING with the expansion is going to take place, then looks like the 1st of the month ( July ) will we start to see some true movement.

The 1st of July is when San Diego State if they truly are or have been accepted which the talk going around is they haven't but they have to make that move or the exit fee's double. - -i think they wet the bed as the Mountain West has not acknowledged them staying,- & the PAC 12 hasn't invited them yet.

I guess if push comes to shove they could always try coming to the Big 12 as Yormark has shown interest in them..

For the PAC 12 Schools that are still believing in a Mirale - - they are living in a make believe world, they STILL have no media deal , and they may say they have it, if so WHY with as late in the game as it is WHY wouldn't they come out and say they did ? Because again - -they DON'T HAVE ONE and if they think they are coming close to the big 12 Media package - lol - they are some looney tunes.

Bottom line is Colorado & Arizona better get it together before that Big 12 ship sails. - -I'm almost to the point of saying the heck with it. Let's just play the cards we have with our 4 new Schools and call it a day

Allegedly according to Twittersphere, BY has actually told them the ship sails at some hour on 6/30.

As unlikely as it may or may not be, maybe the numbers being reported are either incorrect or only amount to part of the overall deal? If the deal numbers were as bad as some of reported on, then Colorado would have jumped months ago based on the belief that even if they got much better they still wouldn't be worth bypassing what the Big 12 has moving forward.

Separately, there are a lot of other factors at play, such as the fact that any PAC12 team that joins the Big 12 for 2024 would have no idea what it would make 2024 since the media is not obligated to pay for expansion in 2024 - even if the expansion includes P5s - since the Big 12 bargained that right years ago.
